Mejor no pensarlo…

Don’t worry, nothing bad happened to Ume-chan. Today we have brung to Ume-chan, our miniature schnauzer, to Asturias to operate her. The operation was a remove of the reproductive system in females (I’m sorry, but I don’t know the name of the operation in english. In spanish is «ovariohisterectomía»). We don’t wanna puppies so we decided to do it (as all our pets). We went this vet clinic because it’s a very good place and our current doctor couldn’t do it, so she said that we had to go there.
One hour ago they called to inform us that all was OK, Ume-chan was awaking up and we can pick up her tomorrow morning. I was a little bit nervous, normal because we love our pets as one more in family. But the funny moment was this morning when a ¿nurse? attended me in the clinic:
¿Nurse?: What’s the name of the dog?
Nuria: Ume, without h (in spanish H doesn’t have sound)
¿Nurse?: What kind of dog is?
Nuria (thinking that it’s obvious for someone who is working in animals): Miniature schnauzer
¿Nurse?: Snaus… I can’t remember how to write it.
Nuria: …
¿Nurse?: What kind of operation is?
Nuria: It’s an ovariohisterectomía.
¿Nurse? writes OHT, when the correct is OVH, but I don’t say anything.
¿Nurse?: Sex…male
Nuria: Sorry, but it’s a female. (Ironic) If you tried to find an ovary in a male, so you have a very hard work.
¿Nurse?: Oh, yes, I had a mistake because we have to operate two males today too.
Nuria (thinking): Sure…
This lady will help in the operation room too? I don’t want to think about it…
NOTE: Ume is at home right now. She is fine. The clinic staff was very kind and they gave food and walk Ume-chan before we went to pick up her. Now we have 12 days in front to take care of the injure.
